Day 0: Journey from Hanoi to Ha Giang
Day 1: Explore Ha Giang City, Bac Sum Slope, Quan Ba Heaven Gate, Twin Mountain, Yen Minh, Tham Ma Slope, H'mong King Palace, and conclude the day in Dong Van Town.
Day 2: Depart from Dong Van Town to visit the Volunteer Youth Monument, traverse the scenic Ma Pi Leng Pass, witness the panoramic view of the Nho Que River, explore Meo Vac, and return to Ha Giang. Catch the night sleeper bus with a private cabin to Hanoi, departing from Ha Giang at 8:30 pm.

Day 1: Ha Giang City - Pac Sung Pass - Heaven Gate - Lung Tam Village - Yen Minh - Hmong King palace - Dong Van Town
Our Jeep tour begins at 8:30 am at our office in Ha Giang City, where you will receive a brief overview of the tour details.
On the first day of the Ha Giang Jeep Tour, our skilled driver will guide you through the most impressive scenery, featuring spectacular landscapes and breathtaking views. The Jeep will ascend into the mountains, navigating the winding snake road before reaching Pac Sung Pass, elevated over 1000 meters above sea level. You’ll experience a noticeable temperature drop, providing a cooler atmosphere. Take a break to enjoy the panoramic view from Pac Sung Pass, capturing stunning landscapes, taking pictures, and savoring some coffee at the summit.
After soaking in the beauty of Pac Sung Pass, you’ll hop back into the open Jeep, traversing through rocky limestone mountains and villages, experiencing the beauty of the landscape. Your journey will lead you to the Heaven Gate, offering an astonishing landscape with a vast and deep valley. Witnessing the incredible scenery, you’ll descend into the valley to visit the hidden village of Lung Tam, home to the Dao Minority people, providing an opportunity to explore a local family’s life.
The Jeep Tour continues, passing through Quang Ba to the town of Tam Son. Here, you’ll encounter the captivating rock limestone mountains, marking the beginning of the Karst Plateau Geopark. Your next stop is a viewpoint for lunch, offering a chance to admire the beautiful terrace rice paddies.
Post-lunch, the journey continues to Dong Van. Along the way, you’ll encounter the Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark, a significant geoheritage site in Vietnam, featuring terraced rice fields, thousands of limestone rocks, and breathtaking views. Observing the hidden villages in the valley, you’ll get a glimpse into the rural life of North Vietnamese countryside. The riders will also take you to the Chinese border and the renowned northernmost viewpoint in Vietnam. Before reaching Dong Van town, a stop will be made at the Vuong family residence, still known as the “Hmong King Palace.” The day will conclude in Dong Van, allowing you free time to explore the town and spend the night.
Day 2: Dong Van - Ma Pi Leng Pass - Meo Vac - Yen Minh - Ha Giang City- Night Sleeper bus back to Hanoi
After enjoying breakfast, our Jeep tour resumes, taking you along the enchanting Happy Road. This stretch provides a splendid opportunity to witness the breathtaking landscapes of Ha Giang, including the renowned Heaven Pass and the awe-inspiring Ma Pi Leng Pass, offering panoramic views of the Nho Que River below. Often hailed as the most beautiful segment of the loop, Ma Pi Leng Pass is a highlight of the journey.
Following the pass, you’ll embark on another scenic route leading back to Yen Minh. This road unveils equally picturesque landscapes as those encountered on the first day. Returning from Yen Minh, the route guides you back to Ha Giang City. Throughout the tour, you’ll encounter diverse cultures and hill tribes, such as the distinctive H’mong tribe residing in the Ha Giang province. Their captivating traditional attire makes them easily recognizable. The journey promises to leave a lasting impression, with stunning views, glimpses of local life, and exposure to beautiful cultures.
Upon returning to Ha Giang City, you’ll wait until 8:30 pm, when the night sleeper bus will pick you up for the transfer back to Hanoi. This entire adventure ensures a profoundly rewarding experience, leaving you with cherished memories to last a lifetime.

Aside from providing an adrenaline rush, the Ha Giang Loop provides vistas of a completely unexplored region that has managed to stave off tourism. While traveling the Ha Giang Loop, visitors may take in the local fauna, meet new acquaintances as they cross each mountain pass, and take it all in at a leisurely pace.
A fantastic option to see Vietnam’s less-visited regions is to take the Ha Giang Loop. As many have said, you should get there as soon as possible because it might not stay undiscovered or secluded for long.

- Do you provide protection and damage insurance for motorbike?
We have helmet, padding protection for elbows and knees for free on the tour. Moreover, damage insurance for semi-automatic bike is included too.
- I am solo traveler, Can I join the group?
There are individual, couple, or group tours (based on your preferences and needs). Even as a solo traveler, you will still receive the full tour experience.
We also have groups tour running everyday with around 10-15 people. You will have more new friends soon on the trip.
- Can I bring my suitcase or big backpack?
As we will be traveling on motorbikes, limited storage is available. Small Backpacks and easy-to-carry bags are recommended. Reconsider bringing large or difficult suitcases.
You can leave big backpack in Ha Giang Motor Tours homestay in Ha Giang city.
- Do you have scooter/automatic bike?
The Scooter or automatic bike is not suitable for mountain road with go up and down a lot of times.
Actually, you need the gear to make the speech slower if you go down.
We have a short training with semi-automatic motorbike which is so easy and make sure you can become professional after our training.
